Timothy Warren Anglin was born in the little Irish coastal town of Clonakilty, county Cork, on 31 Augustinto a middle-class Roman Catholic family. On Easter Monday he left Clonakilty to embark on a ship bound for Saint John, New Brunswick.¹ Of the first twenty-five years of Anglin’s life little is known.
